Romeri Farmhouse, George Road, Hebron, NH, 03241, United States.

The Homestead is a member-owned private property, located in Hebron, NH. This property is only available to our members.  The current trails are at least a Blue Rating, and there are several Black and Red short loops. The terrain is very rocky and generally very dry. The rock is granite or porous, which offers outstanding traction.

Camping and access for this Work and  Wheel event is free for our members.

Our camping location is at their antique farm house, the side and back yard. The home is on a dirt road, with a little local traffic. No highways for miles, it's very peaceful. There is room for trailers and campers and tents.

Here's the basic itinerary:

  • (Optional) Show up Friday, Sept 18th in the afternoon to set up your camp. Later is ok.
  • Saturday, 9 am - The Main Event. We will meet and air down on September 19th at 9 am. Our goal is always to have fun, and we will be marking and creating at least one new trail. Currently, the owner and I have ideas, but I don't think we have marked them. This means that right now, we have flexibility and the trail difficulty will be determined by our volunteers. For example, we don't want to build a trail that is too difficult for the volunteers to use unless that is what they want to do.
  • Saturday evening, our hosts will have a thank you dinner prepared. In July, we enjoyed huge amounts of coleslaw, pulled chicken and more.
  • (Optional) Sunday, Sept 20th - We are also going on the trails Sunday morning, possibly followed by a scenic drive around Newfound Lake with a stop for ice cream.

This property features FANTASTIC and FUN trails. We already have a full day of wheeling here, and a long term goal is to have two full days of wheeling. I have three additional comments for the description.

  1. In July, my buddy, Charlie, and I went out Friday night. We had a blast! We only scratched the surface and stuck to the easiest trails.
  2. I have been saying this for a few years, "This property is like driving on the moon, except there's trees." Our trails here have so much bedrock, it is a unique opportunity and experience.
  3. This is a history rich location. We're on a slope of Tenney Mountain, where Martha (Ball) Washington's family is from. There's cellar holes that were built in 1760's!
